Mt. Carmel Hosts Veteran Hiring Event: Opportunities Unite العسكصند صند

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Wednesday, April 30, the Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center organized a job fair aimed at connecting businesses with veterans who are eager for employment along with their family members.

Among the over 30 businesses seeking employees on Wednesday were the Colorado Department of Corrections, Spectrum, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, and Phil Long Dealerships.

"The primary objective is to establish contact with the recruiter,” explained Jon Dix, Director of Transition Employment at Mt. Carmel. "So that once your resume lands on their desk, they might think, 'Ah yes, I've already met John; we have spoken before. He seems like a suitable candidate, so let's invite him for an interview.' The entire aim here is simply to secure that opportunity," he added.

If you didn't make it to Wednesday's event and have queries regarding the upcoming one, feel free to reach out to the Veterans Service Center at (719) 309-4768.
