Ausar Thompson's Brief Take on Cade Cunningham and Pistons Teammates

The Detroit Pistons, for the second time in their first-round series, stole a game from the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. They still trail 3-2, but they have the belief that they can force a Game 7 and advance past the Knicks to meet the Boston Celtics in the next round.

Driven by the frustration over the incorrect decision that cost them Game 3, the Pistons continue to be in "rebound" mode.

Nobody has embraced more accountability for victories and defeats than Cade Cunningham, and his fellow players understand they can count on him.

The Pistons exhibit a genuine style of collective teamwork, yet every comprehensive squad in the NBA understands the importance of counting on their star players. In just two words, Ausar Thompson conveyed his confidence in Cunningham.

"Incredibly confident," stated Thompson regarding Cunningham's capability to push the game into a decisive seventh match.

He clarified the strategy for the forthcoming competitions: "Observing the ball, understanding where Cade is positioned, and of course, my teammates have been very supportive."

So far, the Pistons haven't secured a single playoff victory at Little Caesars Arena—not this season nor since the arena opened. As they prepare for Game 6 on Thursday evening, anticipation fills the air as Detroit gets ready to cheer them on. Every player intends to put forth their strongest performance; however,Detroit’s success hinges largely on Cunningham stepping up his game significantly.
